Information and Benefits for Sprinkler Systems
Sprinkler
systems are widely used in areas that have
relatively low amounts of rainfall for one or more seasons
and very hot summers. Anyone living in Houston knows
how severely hot our weather can get, and that it lasts
for over half of the year. The beautiful landscaping
or just plain green grass you desire becomes difficult to
impossible to achieve without adequate watering. So, break out
the water hose and spend two hours every evening moving
that sprinkler around the yard? We don't recommend
it. You deserve to relax and enjoy playing with your
kids, or whatever suits your fancy. More
importantly, we have a few good reasons as to why you
should have more leisure in your life. Don't
consider us your therapist, we are talking about cold,
hard cash here!
Even in the
driest of seasons, you would be surprised how little water
is necessary to maintain moisture in the soil of your
yard. Any more water supplied simply runs off and
doesn't soak into the soil. When you use a sprinkler
attachment on the end of your hose, you have to use a lot
more water. Its efficiency is based on where you,
the amateur, places it on the lawn, how long you leave it
there (you know you forget!), how high you have your water
on, and what time of day you water. An automated
system takes care of all of this for you. You will
notice a huge savings on your water bill the very first
month your sprinkler system is in use!
Something
else that is available in most areas is a separate water
meter for your outdoor water use. Any water you use
that does not drain into your drain pipes can be drawn
from this source and no sewer fees will be charged to
you. Sewage charges comprise approximately 48% of
your bill. This savings alone can pay for your entire sprinkler
system in just a few years. We also can install an
automatic swimming pool fill line and a spout for your hose to save on washing your car and
such.
If you are
considering new landscaping (a service we now offer) or have already planted your
shrubs and flowers, you know how expensive they are to
replace. Grass needs a different amount of water
than plants, and unless you're knowledgeable in the rates of
watering, regimented in your watering schedule, and never
go on vacation, you can make some costly mistakes.
Just a few plants per year can also pay for your automated
sprinkler system pretty fast.
Why don't
you take a few moments to read our About
Us page, and find
out how we can create a customized system just for you!
